Toyota Increases Price of Its Cheapest Car; Glanza Now Costlier by up to ₹15,800

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced a price hike across select models in its Indian portfolio, including its entry-level hatchback, the Toyota Glanza. The revised prices came into effect from February 3, with the Glanza witnessing an increase of up to ₹15,800, translating to a hike of around 1.98 per cent, depending on the variant.
Earlier priced from ₹6.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the Toyota Glanza now starts at approximately ₹6.46 lakh, while the top-end variants go up to ₹9.44 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers are advised to check variant-wise price details with authorised dealerships, as the hike varies across trims.
The Toyota Glanza is based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and is offered with petrol and CNG powertrain options. It remains the most affordable model in Toyota India’s current lineup.
Other Toyota Models Also Get Costlier
Alongside the Glanza, Toyota has increased prices for several other models:

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, another badge-engineered model, has become costlier by up to ₹16,400. It is available in petrol and CNG variants, with prices now ranging between ₹7.25 lakh and ₹12.39 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota Rumion, the rebadged version of the Maruti Ertiga, has also seen a price hike of up to ₹16,400. The three-row MPV is offered in petrol and CNG variants, priced between ₹10.51 lakh and ₹13.86 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which shares its platform with the Maruti Grand Vitara, has received the highest hike of up to ₹21,000. The mid-size SUV is available with petrol, CNG, and strong-hybrid options, priced between ₹10.99 lakh and ₹20.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

Market Outlook
The latest price revision comes amid rising input costs and continued pressure on the automobile supply chain. With multiple manufacturers announcing similar hikes, buyers may see further revisions across segments in the coming months.
