A man searching for porn online searched for videos, only to be shocked when he found himself with his girlfriend in one of the videos. This incident happened in China.

In 2023, Eric (fictitious name, identity withheld) was staying at a hotel in Shenzhen, southern China, with his girlfriend. Weeks later, while browsing an adult content channel, he came across a video.

After watching the video, the ground slipped from under my feet!

According to BBC report, within a few seconds he saw the hotel room in which he was staying with his girlfriend, the sequence of events and then when he looked at himself, he recognized that it was him and his girlfriend.

What was shown in the footage?

The footage showed the couple entering the room, placing their bags, and then engaging in an intimate moment. All of this was inadvertently recorded by a hidden camera inside the hotel room. The video was uploaded without their consent and was available to thousands of people online.

Eric from Hong Kong described the experience as terrifying, saying that a hidden spy camera recorded him and his girlfriend in a hotel room for about an hour. Eric said that he initially liked porn videos because they seemed more realistic than traditional pornography, as the people being filmed were unaware they were being monitored by a spy camera.

What reaction did the girlfriend give?

When Eric told his partner, Emily, she initially didn't believe him and thought he was joking. When she saw the video herself, she was horrified that people she knew might have already seen the footage online.
