Tata Nexon EV Introduces Two New Colours Across 45 Variants, Strengthening Competition with Mahindra XUV400

Tata Motors has refreshed its Nexon EV lineup by adding two new dual-tone exterior colors—Pure Gray and Ocean Blue—available across all 45 variants of the 45 kWh model. The updates give electric SUV buyers greater personalization options, with prices starting at ₹12.49 lakh.

The new colors are offered across the Creative, Fearless, and Empowered trims. The Fearless and Empowered variants come with a black roof, while the Creative variant features a white roof. Existing shades like Pristine White, Daytona Grey, and Empowered Oxide remain available. Notably, the new Pure Gray and Ocean Blue options are exclusive to the 45 kWh variant and are not available for the 30 kWh model.

The Nexon EV 45 is powered by a 46.08 kWh battery, delivering 144 bhp and 215 Nm of torque, with a MIDC (Part 1 + Part 2) range of 489 km. It accelerates from 0–100 kmph in 8.9 seconds. Charging options include a 7.2 kW AC home charger taking 6 hours 36 minutes from 10–100%, and a 60 kW DC fast charger taking 40 minutes from 10–80%. The SUV also supports vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) functions.

Inside, the Nexon EV boasts a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch HD digital instrument cluster, and features like a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, air purifier, Type-C port, sunroof, JBL audio system, and voice commands. Tata Motors also offers a lifetime warranty on the high-voltage battery.

The Nexon EV has become a flagship of Tata Motors’ electric vehicle ambitions. In December 2025, it became the first EV in India to cross 100,000 units sold, highlighting strong mass-market adoption. Tata plans to further expand its EV portfolio, which already includes models such as the Punch EV, Curve EV, and Harrier EV, along with a growing charging network to support its electric vehicle ecosystem.
