SS Rajamouli is crafting his next big blockbuster, SSMB29, with an ambitious budget of around ₹1000 crore, aiming to break all previous records set by Bahubali and RRR. After wrapping up significant portions of the shoot in India, the team is gearing up for a crucial schedule in Kenya, where an impactful introduction scene featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra will be shot. Priyanka has been in the spotlight recently for her intense preparation in the traditional Mayurbhanj Chhau dance, a unique tribal martial art form from Odisha that does not require the customary mask worn in other Chhau styles. Renowned choreographer Vicky Bhartiya, an expert in Mayurbhanj Chhau, has praised Priyanka’s dedication and vibrant energy during rehearsals, suggesting she may perform a special dance sequence in the film. Though details remain under wraps, the dance practice and filming are largely happening in Hyderabad.
The Kenya schedule promises to deliver not just an impressive introduction but also a sequence that will heavily influence the film’s storyline. Alongside Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, acclaimed actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran and possibly R. Madhavan are reportedly part of the cast, while some stars, including Nana Patekar, have reportedly declined roles. With such an ensemble and Rajamouli’s visionary direction, SSMB29 is shaping up to be a cinematic extravaganza that fans eagerly await.
