Son of Sardaar 2 Review: Ajay Devgn is all set to win hearts once again with Son of Sardaar 2. This time he is bringing more emotions, more laughter and a lot of swag. Director Vijay Kumar Arora's film is full of all the elements of a perfect Bollywood family entertainer, like emotions, comedy, drama and unabashed Punjabi pride. Packed with family values, clean humor, colorful visuals and a strong story, this film is made for audiences of all ages.

Jassi's heart is broken in London

Ajay Devgn once again plays Jaswinder "Jassi" Singh Randhawa. This time, Jassi arrives in London with dreams of reuniting with his wife Dimple (Neeru Bajwa). But his dreams are shattered when Dimple reveals that she loves someone else and want a divorce. Homeless and heartbroken in a foreign country, Jassi's life changes when he meets Rabia (Mrunal Thakur), a vivacious Pakistani businesswoman who runs a wedding dance company.

Fake Dad and the Family Mission

Rabia's partner Danish (Chunky Pandey) is also caught up in his own family troubles, his daughter Saba (Roshni Walia) has fallen in love with Gogi (Sahil Mehta), the son of the traditional Raja Sandhu (Ravi Kishan). Raja Sandhu wants to get his son married to an Indian girl who has strong cultural roots. Since Rabia and her team are Pakistani, the only solution is for Jassi to win over Raja Sandhu by posing as Saba's Indian father, an ex-army man and a cultured man. This is where the hilarity and madness begins.

Ajay Devgan shines in comedy

Ajay Devgn once again proves that he has no match when it comes to comedy timing. Be it handling a lie, acting with a straight face in chaos or showing desi swag, he steals every scene. His warmth, charm and humour make the film a strong one. Mrunal Thakur, in her first big commercial role, wins hearts with her natural style and great chemistry with Ajay.

Strong supporting cast

Deepak Dobriyal brings both heart and laughter to the transgender character named 'Gul', a role that is sensitive and fresh. Ravi Kishan shines as the traditional yet funny Raja Sandhu and steals the scene every time with his dialogue delivery and expressions. The supporting cast Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Pandey, Kubra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Ashwini Kalsekar, Roshni Walia and the late Mukul Dev all leave a mark in their respective roles.

Amazing visuals and music

From the beautiful landscapes of Scotland and London to the colours of Punjab, the cinematography is a treat to the eyes. The music of the film is also amazing – songs like Pehla Tu Dooja Tu, Nazar Battu and Nachdi are not just pleasing to the ears but also take the story forward. These beautifully shot songs are the perfect amalgamation of emotion and energy and stay in the memory long after the film is over.

Punchy dialogues and paisa vasool moments

The dialogues are packed with desi punches that will make the audience laugh, whistle and clap. This is not just a comedy film but the emotional moments are equally effective. And then comes the climax, a big surprise that Ajay Devgn has kept hidden till the end. This gives the film a perfect ending that will leave the audience laughing, smiling and maybe a little emotional.

A fun ride for the whole family

Produced under the banner of Devgn Films and Jio Studios, Son of Sardaar 2 is a true Bollywood family entertainer that is colourful, fun, emotional and steeped in culture. With strong lead performances, memorable supporting roles, great music and stunning visuals, the film are a feel-good journey from start to finish. A must-watch for both friends and family.
