Namo Bharat Rapid Rail incident: Four videos of objectionable activities of school couples in the moving Namo Bharat train operating between Ghaziabad and Meerut have gone viral on social media. It is being said that this incident is of November 24. Taking the incident seriously, Ghaziabad and Meerut police have started a joint investigation. Meanwhile, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deployed for the security of Namo Bharat is also investigating the entire matter. Initial investigation has revealed that the school concerned is in Ghaziabad area.

The investigation also revealed that the couple boarded the Namo Bharat train from Duhai station in Ghaziabad. Shortly after boarding, the couple began engaging in inappropriate behavior, which continued until Meerut South station. The coach was sparsely occupied at the time, but CCTV cameras installed inside captured the entire incident. The student in the viral video is seen wearing a school uniform, which is said to be from a school in the Ghaziabad area.

Ghaziabad police will take action

On Friday night, all four videos suddenly began spreading rapidly on social media platforms, prompting the police and administration to become active. SSP Dr. Vipin Tada stated that a special team, led by the Superintendent of Police (Crime), has been formed to investigate the authenticity of the videos, the location of the incident, and the identities of the two individuals. The investigation has revealed that the incident occurred in the Ghaziabad area, so further legal action will be initiated there.

The employee who made the viral post was dismissed.

Another significant revelation has emerged in the case. The investigation revealed that an employee on board the train, instead of reporting the incident to higher authorities, recorded CCTV footage and circulated it on social media. Considering this a serious indiscipline, the employee has been removed from service with immediate effect.

NCRTC statement

NCRTC Chief Public Relations Officer Puneet Vats stated that footage from CCTV cameras installed on the Namo Bharat train is being examined. There are also plans to launch an awareness campaign to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. Police are currently gathering detailed information about the two school-age couples.
