The Russia-Ukraine war is not stopping. Amidst peace talks, Russia attacked the Ukrainian Navy's largest ship 'Simferopol' with a marine drone. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, this ship was built for radio and electronic surveillance and has sunk in the Danube River Delta.
The war between Russia and Ukraine continues amidst the ongoing meetings and discussions about peace agreement and ceasefire. On one hand, US President Donald Trump is trying to reach a compromise, while on the other hand, both countries are attacking each other. Now Russia has attacked the 'largest' ship of the Ukrainian Navy, a video of which has also surfaced.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Navy ship 'Simferopol' has been attacked and sunk. The ship was reportedly the largest ship commissioned in more than a decade. The Defense Ministry statement said that this medium-sized ship designed for radio, electronic, radar and optical reconnaissance sank in the Danube River delta.
According to a report by Russian news agency TASS, this incident is the first incident of a Ukrainian naval ship being destroyed by a marine drone. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials have confirmed that the ship was attacked, killing one crew member and injuring several others. The Ukrainian Navy has said that rescue operations are underway and most of the crew members have been saved, while some are still missing.

Ukrainian officials said at least 21 people, including four children, were killed and dozens injured in a Russian drone and missile attack overnight in the capital. This was followed by several large explosions on the morning of August 28, which damaged buildings in 33 places. The damaged buildings also included the headquarters of the European Union mission and the British Council.
Local officials said at least 48 people were injured in the attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a post on Twitter, "Dozens of people are in critical condition and doctors are now fighting for their lives." This was Russia's first major drone and missile attack on Ukraine after US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Alaska earlier this month to end the war.
