How to Report a Spam Number: Scammers are currently targeting people through calls, messages, and emails. To combat this, the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India launched the NCRP (National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal). Through this portal, you can report any suspicious number, message, or website online.
Cyber Crime Report: These days, many types of scams are going on. Scammers are making people their victims through messages, calls and emails. The government issues warnings about such scams every day. People are advised not to click on any link given in any message from an unknown number. Also, they are asked not to share their OTP with anyone on the call. Even after many warnings, some people become the target of scammers. People should immediately report any scam call or message received on their number. They do not need to go anywhere for this. They can register a complaint by going to NCRP (National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal) from their mobile itself. The process is very easy.
What is NCRP?
The National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) is an initiative of the Government of India. Launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs, it aims to enable citizens to report all types of cybercrime. Operated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the portal works in collaboration with the police forces of the states and union territories.
How to report?
- Reporting on this portal is very easy.
- For this you will have to go to cybercrime.gov.in.
- After this you have to click on the Report & Check Suspect section given above.
- Now you have to click on the Report Suspect option given at second number and then click on the Report Suspect to I4C option.
- Here you have to select your state.
- Then you have to select which number, message or website you want to report.
- If you want to report a number, click on the phone number option.
- Register your complaint now.
Be careful like this
- To avoid scams, never share your personal details on calls from unknown numbers.
- Do not click on the link in the email.
- Do not share OTP with anyone.
