Ravindra Jadeja Instagram Account Missing: There is a widespread rumour that Chennai Super Kings is handing over Ravindra Jadeja to Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Sanju Samson.
Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's official Instagram account, "royalnavghan," has suddenly disappeared. When his fans tried to search for the account on Monday, it was found missing from Instagram. Pasting the account link directly into a browser resulted in a "Profile Link Broken" message. Jadeja's account deactivation comes amid speculation that he may be leaving his 13-year-old IPL team, Chennai Super Kings. There is widespread speculation that Jadeja's name has surfaced in the ongoing trade deal between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for Sanju Samson. CSK, which retained Jadeja for a record amount last year, has proposed trading him to Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Sanju. However, neither Rajasthan Royals nor Chennai Super Kings management has issued any statement regarding these discussions. But amidst this discussion, many questions have arisen due to Jadeja's official account suddenly going 'missing'.
There has been no statement from Instagram.
There has been no explanation for the sudden disappearance of Ravindra Jadeja's Instagram account. Jadeja has yet to comment on the matter, and neither Instagram nor Meta has issued a statement. It's unclear whether Jadeja deactivated his account himself or if it was due to a technical glitch.
He made his IPL debut with Rajasthan Royals.
Ravindra Jadeja made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals. In 2008, the 19-year-old Jadeja was part of the RR team that won the first IPL trophy under the captaincy of Shane Warne. After this, he was also a part of RR in 2009, but before IPL 2010, he was suspended for trying to make a deal directly with Mumbai Indians. According to IPL rules, no player can make a direct deal with the team. The team has to buy him through the IPL Auction only. After a one-year ban, Ravindra Jadeja joined the Kochi Tuskers team in IPL 2011.
Chennai is associated with IPL 2012
Ravindra Jadeja first joined the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2012. Since then, he has been playing for CSK in the IPL. This association was broken only for two years when Chennai Super Kings was suspended. During this 13-year journey, Jadeja has been a part of CSK's three out of five IPL trophies. During this time, he also took over the captaincy of the team after MS Dhoni stepped down from the captaincy in IPL 2022. However, due to poor performance of the team and his own, he relinquished the captaincy midway.
Jadeja was retained for Rs 18 crore last year.
Ravindra Jadeja was retained by CSK just before the IPL 2025 mega auction. Chennai paid a hefty sum of ₹18 crore for Jadeja as the second choice in the retention list after captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. Jadeja is the fifth-most capped player in IPL history with 254 appearances. He has taken the most wickets for Chennai, with 143, with his best bowling figures being 5/16. Jadeja's most memorable moment was the IPL 2023 final, when his last over against the Gujarat Titans helped Chennai win their fifth IPL trophy. Jadeja took 20 wickets that season, while in IPL 2025, he shone with the bat, scoring 301 runs with two fifties amid CSK's poor performance.
