Monsoon has reached the entire country except the national capital. It is expected to arrive in Delhi by Wednesday. Due to the effect of monsoon, heavy rains are occurring in 16 states including Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Surat city of Gujarat has received more than 100 mm of rainfall from Monday to Tuesday morning and the whole city has turned into a river. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the central, east, and northeastern parts of the country during the next seven days and in the northwest from Wednesday. Yellow to orange alerts have been issued for different states.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that on Tuesday the monsoon also knocked in Haryana and Chandigarh. At the same time, the remaining parts of the North Arabian Sea, some more parts of western Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, and the remaining parts of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu have also been covered by the monsoon. The northern boundary of the monsoon passes through Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra, Rampur, Bijnor, Karnal, and Halwara. Conditions are favorable for the monsoon to advance into some more parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh during the next 36 hours.

The monsoon has already reached the northern, central, and western parts of the country and due to its effect, heavy rains are occurring in these parts. Very heavy rainfall has occurred at some places in the Gujarat region and Konkan during the last 24 hours till 8:30 am on Tuesday. The worst situation is in Surat city. Two highways leading to the city are flooded. Four to five societies in low-lying areas have also been submerged. The district administration is engaged in relief and rescue operations. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in entire Gujarat till June 27.

Flood-like situation in Rajasthan too

Monsoon has become active in Rajasthan too. Heavy rain has occurred in the state in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 180 mm was recorded in Mangrol of Baran district. Flood-like situations have arisen in many areas. Low-lying areas are flooded. The Meteorological Department has warned of excessive rain with strong winds in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Udaipur from June 25 to 27. There is also a possibility of an increase in rain in eastern Rajasthan from June 27.

Pace also gained in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Monsoon has gained momentum in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. Most of the districts of eastern UP have been receiving torrential rains for the last two days. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in eastern UP till June 30. Along with this, a heavy rain warning has been issued in western UP on June 25 and 27. During this time, winds can also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour in some areas.

The monsoon will reach Delhi in 36 hours, and heavy rain is expected in the next three days.
IMD has predicted the arrival of monsoon in Delhi-NCR in the next 36 hours. Along with this, due to its effect, torrential rains are expected in the entire region during the next three days. Strong winds can also blow during this period. Light rain was recorded in some areas on Tuesday as well. Due to the possibility of heavy rain, the administration has appealed to the people to go out of the house only when it is very necessary and to keep getting information about the weather.

Heavy rain continues in these states.
IMD said that heavy to very heavy rain is occurring in about 16 states of the country. These states include Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Apart from these, Gujarat, West Bengal, Sikkim, and the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur Odisha, and the South Indian state of Karnataka are also included. There is also a possibility of rain continuing till June 30.
