Railway announces major recruitment, 22,000 vacancies for 10th-pass candidates; salary up to this amount

Railway Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board is soon going to start the application process for recruitment to 22,000 Group D Level-1 posts, in which 10th pass youth will get a chance.

A major relief has come for millions of young people dreaming of a job in the Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has completed preparations for a bumper recruitment drive for Group D Level-1 positions. This recruitment drive will fill approximately 22,000 positions across the country. It is believed that this will be one of the largest railway recruitments in the near future, offering 10th-grade pass candidates a golden opportunity to secure a government job.

This recruitment drive will open positions such as Pointsman, Assistant, and Track Maintainer Grade-IV. Additionally, Group D Level-1 positions will be filled in engineering, electrical, mechanical, and other technical departments. These positions are all related to the operation and maintenance of the railways, and their role is considered crucial. According to information received from the Railway Recruitment Board, the online application process for Group D Level-1 recruitment will begin on January 21st. Interested candidates can apply until February 20th.

What are the required qualifications?

To apply for this recruitment, a candidate must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board. Additionally, if a candidate has an ITI or NAC certificate, it could prove beneficial for them in technical departments. The Railways have clarified that the minimum educational qualification is 10th grade pass, so that as many young people as possible can participate in this recruitment.

What will be the age limit?

For Railway Group D recruitment, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 33 years. Candidates from reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government regulations. OBC candidates will receive a 3-year age relaxation, while SC and ST candidates will receive a 5-year age relaxation.
