Digital payments have become an essential part of our daily lives. From buying vegetables to paying hotel bills, digital payment methods are used for everything. Platforms like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and BHIM have made online transactions easy. Two essential elements are essential for completing an online transaction: a bank account and internet access. Without internet access, making online payments becomes difficult. A new feature has been released to address this issue, but few people know about it.
The newly released feature allows users to make UPI payments without an internet connection. This feature was launched by the National Payments Corporation of India in 2022. Using this feature, users will be able to make transactions easily even in areas with poor network connectivity. The offline payment process is also very easy.
What is the offline UPI payment feature?
This feature works through a USSD code. This means that if your phone has calling capabilities, you can complete transactions even without the internet. You don't need to open an app or scan a QR code. You simply dial a code, and a menu appears on the screen. Here, you can complete the transaction. This method may seem a bit old-fashioned, but it's very useful when you don't have a network connection.
Follow these steps to make payments without internet.
Making offline UPI payments is very easy. You just need to follow a few steps.
