South superstar and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has made a grand return to the big screen with Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The film had a powerful start at the box office, creating buzz with strong numbers from early premieres and opening day collections. However, the film faced a major dip on Day 2, raising concerns about its future performance.
Box Office Report: 2-Day Collection
The film earned ₹12.75 crore from its premieres and ₹34.75 crore on Day 1, making a total of ₹47.5 crore in just one day. But the momentum did not continue. On the second day (Friday), the film earned only ₹8 crore, taking the total to ₹55.5 crore in 2 days. This ₹27 crore drop in a single day has sparked worry among trade analysts and fans.
Made on a massive budget of ₹300 crore, the film now faces a steep challenge. If Hari Hara Veera Mallu does not cross ₹100 crore by the weekend, its recovery path may become tough.
Saiyaara’s Dream Run
Meanwhile, Bollywood’s Saiyaara is dominating the Hindi belt. Made on a budget of ₹40 crore, the film has already recovered its costs and is now nearing a whopping ₹200 crore mark. Though both films cater to different audiences and genres, their simultaneous release has drawn inevitable comparisons.
With the weekend still in play, all eyes are now on whether Pawan Kalyan’s stardom can revive the film’s box office run—or if Saiyaara’s wave will continue to outshine its South rival.
