Patna High Court Orders Removal of AI Video Featuring PM Modi’s Mother

The Patna High Court has directed the removal of a controversial AI-generated video involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, Hiraben Modi, from all social media platforms. The order was passed by Acting Chief Justice P.B. Bajantri during a hearing on the matter.

Video Posted by Bihar Congress

The controversy began after the Bihar Congress shared the AI video on its official social media accounts. The clip showed PM Modi being confronted by his mother, who criticizes him over demonetization and his political conduct. The video quickly went viral, sparking heated political exchanges.

FIR Registered

Delhi BJP leader Sanket Gupta filed an FIR against the Congress party and its IT cell, naming them as the primary accused. The complaint alleged that the video was designed to malign PM Modi’s image and mock motherhood.

BJP’s Response

The BJP strongly condemned the video, stating that dragging PM Modi’s late mother into political attacks was unacceptable. Party leaders accused the Congress of attempting to defame both the Prime Minister and his mother through unethical means.

Court’s Direction

The High Court, while noting the seriousness of the matter, ordered that the AI-generated video be taken down from all platforms immediately. The case has intensified the political war of words between the BJP and Congress, adding fuel to the ongoing debate over the misuse of artificial intelligence in politics.
