'Path to salvation' or death trap? After a near-fatal incident, another woman is trapped; video from Tiruvannamalai goes viral
A narrow rocky path in the Arunachal Pradesh hills in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, is called the "Moksha Marg." Some believe that entering and exiting this narrow path will lead to salvation. However, it is a dangerous path with no official religious affiliation. Recently, 36-year-old Manikumar from Rajamahendravaram died after becoming trapped in this narrow rocky path and experiencing breathing difficulties. A few days after this incident, a new video has gone viral on social media showing another woman badly trapped in this dangerous path.
Many devotees and locals believe that if we sprint through that narrow, rocky crevice, we will attain salvation. This is why this area is called Moksha Marg. However, it's not officially recognized. Today's viral video provides a good example of how dangerous superstition can be. A few days ago, Manikumar died after getting stuck on the Moksha Marg, but this superstition hasn't diminished.
Once again, a woman went to this narrow place to attain salvation, and the unexpected happened. The woman had to struggle to get out. Because the rocky part is very small, the woman's body got badly stuck in it. Her struggle and struggle to get out is clearly visible in the video. Seeing the woman's condition, other devotees helped her, after which she was fortunately able to pass through the path to salvation. Since similar incidents have happened to others, the question arises whether devotees should be allowed to attempt to pass through this path.
In the viral video, we can see a woman trying to climb out of a small crevice in the rock. Because the crevice is so small, her body becomes trapped, and she also struggles to breathe in the space, which is surrounded by rocks on three sides. After the woman becomes trapped on her path to salvation, some devotees and rescuers are seen pulling her out. After a considerable time, the woman emerges safely from the small area. While she wasn't seriously injured, questions are being raised about how many more people will die in such incidents of faith.
