OTT Release This Week: A new week has begun, and as always, we've compiled a list of some of the best movies and shows releasing this week (from July 6th to July 12th, 2026) that you must watch. Ram Charan's Telugu period sports action drama tops this week's list. Speaking of Bollywood, Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna are returning with a courtroom drama. Additionally, there's a Tamil black comedy murder mystery starring Jayaram. These are just some of the notable movies and shows. Netflix – Peddi (Telugu) – July 9, 2026

Set in the mid-1990s, this sports-action drama film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Ram Charan plays the lead role. He is a young man from a tribal community in Andhra Pradesh, who lacks any official identification or documents. A talented athlete, he plays for local teams in exchange for daily wages. However, a tragic incident changes the course of his life. He decides to use sports as a means to gain recognition for his community and secure basic rights and government facilities (such as access to railway stations and other government services), which he has long been denied due to his legal status.

Sunny Deol plays Arjun Mehra (aka Ikka), a principled lawyer who has never lost in court. His biggest challenge comes when he represents wealthy businessman Shauryaman Gaur (Akshaye Khanna), who is accused of attempted murder. He faces public prosecutor Madhura Banerjee (Tillotama Shome), leading to a fierce courtroom showdown.

Netflix from July 10th – Pati Patni Aur Woh Do

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do received mixed reviews in theaters. Now, the film is releasing on OTT platforms. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Vamika Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh, the film will stream on Netflix starting July 10th.

SonyLIV – Balti (Malayalam and Tamil) – July 10, 2026

Set in Velampalayam, a town on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the story follows Udayan (aka Balti) and his gang. The story begins when they defeat the local crime lord's team in a kabaddi tournament. This victory earns them respect, patronage, and friendship, but this good fortune is short-lived. Things quickly change, and they become embroiled in increasingly heated conflicts, leading to trouble for everyone involved.

Little House on the Prairie – July 9, 2026

Set in the 1870s, this story tells the story of a family moving from Wisconsin to the prairies of Kansas. It is based on the novels by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
