OnePlus N6 Debuts in India with 8,000mAh Battery, 50MP Camera and 3 Years of Security Updates

OnePlus has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the OnePlus N6, the first device in its new N series. The smartphone packs a massive 8,000mAh battery, a MediaTek processor, and promises long-term software support. It will go on sale starting July 4 through OnePlus' official channels and Amazon.

The company has confirmed that the OnePlus N6 will receive two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. It also comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.

The OnePlus N6 is available in two storage variants:

  • 4GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹22,999
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹24,999

The smartphone features a 6.75-inch HD LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,200 nits, offering smooth scrolling and improved outdoor visibility.

Performance

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex octa-core processor. According to the company, the chipset has scored over 615,800 points on AnTuTu. A vapor chamber cooling system is also included to help maintain performance during extended gaming or multitasking.

Software

The phone runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 and is backed by two major Android updates along with three years of security patches.

The OnePlus N6 features:

According to the company, the battery is designed to retain around 80% of its original capacity even after 1,600 full charge cycles, offering better long-term durability.
