A Kolkata center has revealed an example of courage and unwavering determination that has moved everyone. Just seven days ago, student Srishti Dubey, who broke nine ribs in a horrific road accident and is battling for life on a ventilator due to severe lung injuries, is taking the exam yesterday under the close supervision of doctors. Srishti's dream and passion to become a doctor were so strong that the country's Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, had to intervene in the matter.

From ventilator to examination centre: How did the entire system bow down to Srishti's insistence?
The past few days have been a nightmare for Kolkata resident Srishti Dubey (Roll Number: 4608306477). On June 14th, Srishti suffered serious injuries in a horrific road accident, breaking nine ribs and causing severe lung damage. Her condition was so critical that she underwent vascular surgery and was placed on a ventilator. But as soon as her condition improved slightly and doctors removed the ventilator, Srishti told her father that she didn't want to let a year's hard work go to waste and would take the NEET exam, which was scheduled for today, at all costs.
Education Minister's action on the letter of the helpless father
Doctors and family members were shocked to see Srishti's condition. Her father, Shriram Shivji Dubey, then wrote an emotional letter to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He wrote, "My daughter does not want to miss the exam under any circumstances. ILS Hospital is ready to provide medical support with doctors, paramedical staff, and all the necessary equipment. I request that my daughter be allowed to appear for the exam. It would be a great favor if the examination center is informed and she is provided with a chair and table on the ground floor, along with necessary medical equipment like hospital linens and a chest drain." The Education Minister immediately took cognizance of the letter on humanitarian grounds and ordered the NTA to provide all possible assistance.
Paper started among hospital clothes and medical equipment
When the exam began at 2:00 pm today at Binodini Girls' High School (centre code: 4608306) in Dhakuria, Kolkata, along with other schools nationwide, all the rules and regulations had changed for Srishti. On the instructions of the Education Minister, the examination centre set up a special room on the ground floor for Srishti. Despite her illness, Srishti arrived at the examination hall on a wheelchair, dressed in hospital attire. She was connected to medical tubes and attachments. Experts from ILS Hospital were stationed in her room to monitor her health during the exam.

Since the start of the NEET UG exam, Srishti's inspiring story has been rapidly going viral on social media. People across the country are saluting Srishti's courage. Many users say that this daughter, who has come back from the brink of death and is taking the exam to become a doctor despite so much hardship, will become one of the best and most compassionate doctors in the country. Meanwhile, the team of doctors stationed outside the exam center says that Srishti's health is currently stable and her mental strength is truly amazing.
