Renault India has released another teaser of the next-generation Renault Duster, confirming several major upgrades. The new Duster will be officially unveiled on January 26, 2026, marking a significant comeback for the brand in the competitive mid-size SUV segment.

According to Renault, the upcoming Duster has undergone extensive testing of over 1 million kilometres across three continents, in extreme temperature conditions ranging from –23°C to 55°C. These tests were conducted to validate the SUV’s durability, off-road capability, and on-road comfort.

Built on the CMF-B platform, the 2026 Duster will arrive with a completely refreshed design, a more premium cabin, advanced safety technology, and the much-awaited 4×4 drivetrain option.

The India-spec Duster will closely resemble its global version, with a bold and modern SUV stance. Key design elements include:

  • 7-inch fully digital driver display

  • Wireless phone charging

Engine and Powertrain Options

As per reports, the 2026 Renault Duster is likely to be offered with the following petrol powertrains:

  • 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine

  • 1.2-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine

Both engines are expected to be paired with manual and automatic transmission options. The 4×4 drivetrain will be offered exclusively on higher trims, catering to off-road enthusiasts.

Renault is also expected to introduce a strong hybrid version of the Duster, although it is likely to arrive a few months after the launch of the internal combustion engine variants.

What This Means for Buyers

With ADAS, a 4×4 option, a modern design, and a feature-rich interior, the new Renault Duster is shaping up to be a strong contender against rivals like the Creta and Seltos. Its return could significantly strengthen Renault’s position in the Indian SUV market.
