Mahindra is preparing to launch an updated version of the Scorpio-N, and testing of the facelifted SUV is already underway. While early test models closely resembled the current version, newer spy sightings suggest that the SUV has entered an advanced development phase with significant design and feature upgrades on the way.
According to media reports, the upcoming 2026 Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift will bring major changes to the cabin, safety technology, and overall styling—aimed at making the popular SUV even more competitive.
Panoramic Sunroof Likely to Be a Key Highlight
Sunroofs have become a major selling point in the Indian SUV market, and Mahindra is expected to raise the bar with the Scorpio-N facelift. While the current model already offers a single-pane sunroof, the updated version is likely to get a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
This setup—similar to what Mahindra offers in its newer electric models like the BE 6 and XEV 9e—will allow more natural light into the cabin, enhancing the sense of space and premium appeal.
Big Focus on Safety Features
Mahindra has been steadily improving safety across its lineup, and the facelifted Scorpio-N is expected to take this further.
In June 2025, the Z8T variant of the Scorpio-N received Level-2 ADAS, offering features such as:
-
Forward Collision Warning
-
Automatic Emergency Braking
-
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
-
Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist
-
Traffic Sign Recognition
-
High Beam Assist
-
Speed Limit Assist
-
Front Vehicle Start Alert
However, the absence of a 360-degree camera was a noticeable miss for a large SUV. That gap is expected to be addressed in the facelift. Spy images show camera housings on the ORVMs, indicating the addition of a 360-degree camera system, possibly along with blind spot monitoring.
Exterior Design Updates
The Scorpio-N facelift is expected to feature a more commanding road presence with:
-
A larger front grille extending into the bumper
-
Horizontal grille slats for a wider, bolder look
-
Updated LED headlamp design
-
Possible addition of cornering fog lamps
-
New-design 18-inch alloy wheels, while retaining the same wheel size
These updates will give the SUV a more modern and muscular appearance.
Upgraded Interior and Tech
Inside the cabin, Mahindra is expected to introduce several premium upgrades:
-
A larger 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system
-
Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
-
Fully digital TFT instrument cluster, similar to the Thar Roxx
-
Updated cabin lighting controls, possibly borrowed from the XUV 7XO
These changes are aimed at improving both functionality and perceived quality.
What to Expect Overall
With a panoramic sunroof, enhanced ADAS features, 360-degree camera, refreshed styling, and upgraded interiors, the Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift is shaping up to be a major update rather than a minor refresh. Once launched, it is expected to further strengthen Mahindra’s dominance in the large SUV segment.
