The 92nd birth anniversary of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha’s spiritual head, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, was celebrated with devotion and grandeur on February 2. On the occasion, several prominent national leaders, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, extended warm greetings and lauded his lifelong contribution to society.

In their messages, the leaders prayed for Mahant Swami Maharaj’s long life and said that his teachings continue to guide society towards humanity, harmony, moral values, and public welfare.

‘His teachings are building a value-based society’: Fadnavis

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis shared a message on social media, calling Mahant Swami Maharaj one of the most revered spiritual guides of the present era. He noted that under Maharaj’s inspiration, more than 700 temples have been built worldwide, and over 360 educated youth have embraced sainthood.

Fadnavis also highlighted that through over five lakh handwritten letters and personal guidance on family and social values, Mahant Swami Maharaj has played a key role in strengthening a value-based and disciplined society. He further mentioned that on February 2, the BAPS International Students Forum created a Guinness World Record in Atladara, Gujarat, for the largest recitation of Hindu scriptures, witnessed by over two lakh devotees, saints, and volunteers.

‘His teachings show the art of living’: Piyush Goyal

Union Minister Piyush Goyal also conveyed his heartfelt wishes, describing Mahant Swami Maharaj as a living embodiment of service, sacrifice, restraint, and compassion. He said that Maharaj’s guidance has inspired people across the world to live fearless, cultured, and morally strong lives.

Goyal added that Mahant Swami Maharaj’s teachings go beyond sermons and reflect the art of living rooted in spiritual awareness and human welfare. He prayed for continued strength and good health for the spiritual leader.

Om Birla prays for long life and continued guidance

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, in his message, said Mahant Swami Maharaj’s life of simplicity, discipline, and compassion is an inspiration to millions globally. He praised the social service initiatives, temple-building efforts, and the positive impact of Maharaj’s practical teachings on family and society.

Birla prayed that Mahant Swami Maharaj’s blessings continue to guide society on the path of humanity, harmony, and collective well-being.
