MS Dhoni Receives Notice From Jharkhand State Housing Board: The Jharkhand State Housing Board has sent a notice to former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni regarding the alleged commercial use of the land allotted to him for his residence in the Harmu area of Ranchi. The board states that the plot was allotted to MS Dhoni solely for residential purposes, but business activity is being carried out there in violation of regulations.
MS Dhoni will have to reply within 15 days.
The Jharkhand State Housing Board clearly states that MS Dhoni must present his case within 15 days. If a satisfactory response is not received, the board may recommend cancelling the allotment of Plot H-(10)A. This plot was allotted to Dhoni by the Jharkhand State Housing Board in 2009 for residential use on the recommendation of the Jharkhand government. Board Chairman Sanjay Lal Paswan confirmed the action taken after an investigation into the matter. He added that notices have also been issued to several other individuals for similar violations.
How is Dhoni's residence being used for commercial purposes?
The operation of a diagnostic center (Neiberg Pulse Diagnostics) at MS Dhoni's Harmu residence is said to be a major source of controversy. This residence is very special to cricket fans, as it was Dhoni's old home. The walls of this house feature his name "Dhoni," his jersey number 7, his helicopter shot, and his wicketkeeping action. However, Dhoni now lives with his family at his sprawling farmhouse, Kailashpatti, located on Simaliya Ring Road in Ranchi. The Harmu residence is now known as his old residence.
A copy of the notice is going viral on social media.
This matter is being widely discussed on social media, where a copy of the notice is rapidly going viral. There has been no official statement from MS Dhoni regarding this matter yet. However, he will soon be seen playing in IPL 2026, where he has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings team for many years. This could be Dhoni's last IPL season, as he is 44 years old. Although he retired from international cricket in 2020, he remains a part of the IPL.
