Madhya Pradesh’s premier cricket tournament, MPL 2025, is all set to begin from June 12 at the newly constructed Madhav Rao Scindia Stadium in Gwalior. This year’s edition will feature 7 men’s teams and 3 women’s teams competing for the title. At a recent event hosted by Team Rewa Jaguars in Indore, MPL Chairman Mahanaryaman Scindia announced two exciting initiatives: MPL’s Green Initiative and the launch of MPL’s very own gaming app.
Green Initiative: A Tree for Every Dot Ball
Inspired by the eco-conscious moves seen in the IPL, MPL will plant a tree for every dot ball bowled during the tournament. Mahanaryaman Scindia emphasized the urgent need for a green revolution across India, aligning MPL’s efforts with the government’s flagship campaign, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name).
He said,
"Every corner of the country demands a greener environment. MPL embraces its responsibility by pledging to plant a tree for every dot ball in its second edition, helping to enhance Madhya Pradesh’s ecological balance."
MPL Cricket Clash: The First League Gaming App
In a first for a state-level cricket league, MPL launched the MPL Cricket Clash app. Available on both the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store, this app allows fans to engage digitally by creating their profile, choosing their favorite MPL team, and batting virtually in the game.
This innovation not only enhances fan interaction but also reflects MPL’s commitment to merging sports with modern technology and entertainment.
Jyotiraditya Scindia’s Message of Encouragement
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia sent his best wishes through a video message at the event, congratulating the team owners, players, and organizers for the league’s ongoing success. He expressed hope for MPL 2025 to continue flourishing and bringing pride to Madhya Pradesh.
