In Sanatan Dharma, the festival of Diwali is considered a symbol of happiness, prosperity, and wealth. Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha are worshipped on this day. According to religious beliefs, performing certain rituals on the night of Diwali brings happiness, prosperity, and well-being to the home. If you too wish to receive the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi this Diwali, you can learn about these remedies recommended by astrologers. Let's learn about them in detail in this article.

Importance of Worshiping Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali Night:
Ayodhya-based astrologer Pandit Kalki Ram explains that worshipping Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali night holds special significance. According to religious beliefs, receiving the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi on this day brings happiness, peace, and prosperity. Therefore, devotees perform certain traditional rituals along with worship.

Try this remedy a day before Diwali.
According to Pandit Kalki Ram, a day before Diwali, take a dry coconut with its shell and place it in a clean and safe place. Place the coconut in flowing water or a pond. According to legend, while performing this ritual, mentally invoke Goddess Lakshmi and resolve to bring the coconut the next evening. Remain calm during this time. On Diwali evening, at sunset, take a new red cotton cloth and approach the coconut.

Panchopachar Puja and Bringing the Coconut Home
First, chant the mantra "Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah" while remembering Lord Ganesha. Then, while meditating on Goddess Lakshmi, wrap the coconut in a red cloth and bring it home. Afterward, light a lamp at home and place the coconut near the idols of Lord Ganesha and Lakshmi and perform Panchopachar Puja. Offer incense, lamps, flowers, perfume, and offerings and pray for happiness and prosperity. Doing so bestows special blessings from Goddess Lakshmi.

Worshiping the safe also has special significance.
According to astrology, worshipping the treasury, or the place where you keep your money, on Diwali is considered auspicious. After the puja, it is customary to place a coconut at the place where you keep your money. This is believed to bring prosperity to the home and the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Additionally, reciting Gopal Sahasranama or Santan Gopal Sahasranama 108 times on Diwali evening is also considered religiously significant. Devotees can perform this ritual according to their faith and ability.
