Ladki Bahin Yojana e-KYC: Millions of women are frustrated by the withholding of ₹1,500 under the Ladki Bahin Yojana. Now, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare has provided a significant update on this matter.
Over 8 million women in Maharashtra are distressed. Their monthly installment of ₹1,500 under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana has suddenly stopped. This time, political rhetoric is also escalating. Many beneficiaries complain that their funds have been withheld despite completing the eligibility and e-KYC procedures. Now, the state's Women and Child Development Minister, Aditi Tatkare, has provided an update on this matter, along with a solution.
Aditi S. Tatkare also stated that no Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana beneficiary has been removed from the scheme. In fact, the names of those who did not meet the eligibility criteria have been removed based on data received from other state government departments. She explained that information received from several departments revealed that the income, age, and other eligibility criteria of many beneficiaries did not match the Ladki Bahin Yojana requirements. The e-KYC option has now been closed on the official portal of Ladki Bahin Yojana https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in/.
Those with two-wheelers or four-wheelers at home will not get the benefit.
Aditi Tatkare explained that we have also received significant data from the Transport Department (RTO Department). These data show vehicles registered in the names of Ladki Bahin Yojana beneficiaries. Various departments also revealed that beneficiaries of the scheme were also receiving benefits from other schemes. Furthermore, benefits have been withheld from some applicants because they failed to complete e-KYC within the stipulated time.
