"Ladakh youth used as shields," the government's response to the Leh violence; what about Sonam Wangchuk?

Leh Protest: Allegations are that Wangchuk used the youth to deflect attention from his personal financial irregularities. For his own benefit, he used the youth of Ladakh as a shield and forced them onto the streets.

Government sources have expressed deep concern over the recent violent protests in Ladakh. Sources said that while what has happened is deeply saddening, the question arises: who actually benefits from this chaos? When talks between the government and protesters were scheduled for October 6th, and informal talks were also planned for September 25th and 26th, why was violence instigated?

Sources say the government is also blaming the Congress party for creating a situation of disturbing tensions

the government state that it has always taken negotiations seriously. The government's objective is to ensure that the people of Ladakh are at the center of all policy decisions. Protecting the interests of Ladakhis and providing them adequate security is the government's top priority.
