In a shocking incident from Kollam, Kerala, a 43-year-old man named Sunil Kumar, a resident of Mylakkad, was arrested by Kollam City Police for allegedly performing an obscene act in a public bus while sitting next to a woman.

Disturbing Act Caught on Camera

The woman was traveling on a KSRTC Mavelikkara Fast Passenger bus from Kottiyam to Kollam when the incident occurred. According to the complaint, the bus was extremely crowded, and the accused sat beside her. Soon after, he allegedly removed his clothes and began masturbating in front of her.

Despite the threat of being reported, the man continued his act, prompting the woman to record the incident on her phone.

Immediate Police Action

The victim filed a complaint at Kollam East Police Station, along with the video evidence, demanding strict action. Taking swift steps, the police issued a lookout notice, launched an investigation, and arrested the accused near Ithikkara Bridge.

The woman revealed there were three other women in the bus at the time. She emphasized the need for strong legal action to deter such behavior, highlighting how unsafe public transport remains for women despite repeated incidents.
