A shocking crime has come to light in Indore, the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh, where a 13-year-old boy was kidnapped and brutally murdered. The accused allegedly hid the body inside a bed box in his own house in an attempt to destroy evidence. However, police investigation eventually exposed the crime, and the accused has been taken into custody.

The incident took place in the MIG police station area. The victim has been identified as Atif Ali, a resident of the locality.

Kidnapped and Killed on Rooftop

According to police, the main accused Rehan, along with a minor accomplice, kidnapped Atif and took him to the roof of a building, where the boy was murdered. After committing the crime, the accused concealed the body by locking it inside a bed storage box at his residence.

Accused Pretended to Help Police

When Atif did not return home, his family lodged a missing person complaint. In an attempt to avoid suspicion, the main accused allegedly pretended to help in the search operation and even accompanied the police and family during the investigation.

Dog Squad Exposed the Truth

Due to the seriousness of the case, police deployed a dog squad and forensic team. During the investigation, the sniffer dog showed unusual aggression towards Rehan and repeatedly barked at him, raising police suspicion.

Following sustained interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime and disclosed the location where the body was hidden.

Drug Trafficking Angle Under Probe

Atif’s father Rafiq told police that the accused were allegedly involved in illegal drug trafficking in the area. The family suspects that Atif may have witnessed their activities, and fearing exposure, the accused killed him.
