The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened the online application process for the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2026. A total of 365 vacant positions will be filled. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, ssc.gov.in, until October 21, 2026.

Position and Qualification:

Sailor (General Duty): 12th pass (with Mathematics and Physics).

Sailor (Domestic Branch): 10th pass.

Hygienist-I: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.

Mechanical: 10th/12th Pass with 3 or 4 years Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication).

Age Limit:

Candidates Date of Birth should be between 2002/2005 to 2009 as per the post.

Application Fee:

₹550 (No fee for SC/ST candidates). Payment must be made online.

Selection Process:
The selection will be done in 4 stages:

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Stage 2: Biometric Verification, Physical Efficiency Test (PFT), Assessment Test and Document Verification.

Stage 3: Provisional Selection and Verification at INS Chilka.

Step 4: Final Document Verification.

Exam Date:
The Phase 1 (CGEPT-01/27 and CGEPT-02/27) exam is likely to be held in early or mid-November 2026. Phase 2 will then be held in February 2027.
