“India Will Not Become a Hindu Nation by Abusing Muslims,” Says Dhirendra Shastri in Banda

Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the Peethadheesh of Bageshwar Dham, once again drew attention with his candid remarks during a public address in Banda, Uttar Pradesh. Delivering a message focused on self-reflection, unity, and social reform, Shastri said that the vision of a Hindu nation cannot be achieved through slogans, abuse, or confrontation.

He emphasized that internal reform within Hindu society is far more important than targeting others.

Call for Introspection and Unity

Dhirendra Shastri had arrived in Khurhand, Banda, on Friday to attend a Sunderkand and Hanuman Chalisa recitation organized at the residence of BJP Sadar MLA Prakash Dwivedi. Addressing thousands of devotees, he said:

“Hindus should understand one thing clearly—India will not become a Hindu nation by abusing Muslims. First, we must remove our own shortcomings and evils.”

He strongly criticized caste-based discrimination, calling it a major obstacle to unity.
“Say goodbye to casteism. We are all Hindu brothers,” he said, adding that societal divisions weaken collective strength.

Message on Family Values and Patience

During his speech, Shastri also spoke about marriage and family values, highlighting the traditions of Sanatan Dharma. He said that marriage in Hindu culture is considered a lifelong commitment, and patience plays a key role in maintaining harmony.

He advised people to remain within the bounds of law, discipline, and social decorum, saying that following rules ultimately benefits everyone.

Stress on Complete Faith in God

Guiding devotees on the path of devotion, Shastri said that faith should be unwavering. He pointed out that people often move from place to place in times of crisis and then complain about not receiving divine blessings.

“Instead of superficial rituals, have complete faith in your roots and your chosen deity. If your surrender is true, God will never let your faith weaken,” he said.

Large Gathering in Banda

This was Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s second visit to Banda in the last ten days. The religious event witnessed a massive turnout from Banda and neighboring districts. The atmosphere remained deeply devotional, and his message resonated strongly with people across age groups.
