The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 has already created a frenzy among cricket fans. The tournament begins in the UAE on 9 September, with Team India set to open its campaign against the hosts on 10 September. However, all eyes are on 14 September, when arch-rivals India and Pakistan meet in Dubai.
Despite tickets for the Asia Cup not being officially released yet, reports suggest that seats for the India-Pakistan encounter are being sold in the black market for as high as ₹15.75 lakh. The official ticket sales are expected to begin in the next two days, but the soaring demand has already led to fake websites and unauthorized sellers taking advantage of eager fans.
The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have issued alerts on social media, urging fans not to fall prey to fraudulent websites and to purchase tickets only through official channels once sales commence. According to reports, prices on such suspicious platforms have ranged from ₹26,000 to over ₹15 lakh for a single ticket.
Meanwhile, the political backdrop continues to cast its shadow. Even as protests have emerged following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the central government has given clearance for Team India to play against Pakistan, ensuring the marquee clash goes ahead as planned. With emotions and excitement running high, this battle of cricketing giants is set to be one of the most electrifying contests of the tournament.
