Kuldeep Yadav, currently part of India’s squad for the Kolkata Test against South Africa, may miss the remainder of the series. Although he bowled well in the first innings, reports suggest that he might not be available for the second Test.

According to sources, Kuldeep has written to the BCCI requesting leave for his wedding, which is scheduled for the last week of November. If the board approves his request — which appears likely — he could be ruled out of the upcoming matches.

The second Test of the India–South Africa series begins in Guwahati on November 22. With Kuldeep’s wedding set for later in the month, the team management will evaluate when his services are needed and grant leave accordingly. It remains uncertain whether he will miss only the second Test or also the ODI series starting on November 30.

In the ongoing Kolkata Test, Kuldeep delivered an impressive performance, bowling 14 overs and taking 2 wickets for 36 runs in the first innings.
