Cannibal Ram Niranjan calls himself King Kolandar because he used to eat the flesh of dead bodies and drink soup made from skulls. In this case, the court sentenced cannibal Ram Niranjan to life imprisonment.

He used to eat the flesh of the dead person's dead body, make soup by boiling the skull and then drink it. He used to call himself Raja Kolandar. In this case, Lucknow ADJ Court has sentenced cannibal Ram Niranjan alias Raja Kolandar and his partner Bachchraj Kol to life imprisonment. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 2.5 lakh each on both of them.

In the year 2000, Raja Kolandar and Bachchraj Kol kidnapped 22-year-old Manoj Singh and his driver Ravi Srivastava and then killed both of them. In the same case, the court convicted Kolandar and Bachchraj on May 19 and sentenced them to life imprisonment on Friday. Earlier, in the year 2012, Allahabad Court had sentenced both the culprits to life imprisonment in the case of murder of journalist Dhirendra Singh.

How did Ram Niranjan become a cannibal? 

More than 14 murder cases are registered against Raja Kolandar. He used to kill people and cut their bodies into pieces. Then he used to take out the brain from the skull of the dead person and boil it and make soup and drink it. Such a person is called a cannibal. Raja Kolandar is a resident of Hinauta village located in Shankargarh of Naini, Prayagraj.

Know in which case Raja Kolandar was punished?

Raja Kolandar booked journalist Manoj Singh's Tata Sumo from Lucknow's Naka Hindola to Prayagraj for Rs 1400 on 23 January 1999. Manoj Singh also went with driver Ravi Srivastava. He took both of them directly to Bargarh forest, where Manoj Singh and Ravi Srivastava were killed. Manoj's family registered a missing person report of both of them in Lucknow's Naka Hindola police station. After that, the bodies of both were recovered from the forest. Both the bodies were found naked.
