National Highway travel is set to become more convenient for FASTag users. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced two new digital features on the RajmargYatra mobile app—Digital Local Pass and MargMitra Help Centre. The initiative aims to reduce paperwork, simplify toll-related services, and provide quicker assistance to commuters.
Digital Local Pass Now Available
One of the biggest updates is the launch of the Digital Local Pass, which allows eligible commuters to purchase and manage their local toll passes directly through the RajmargYatra app.
Earlier, users often had to visit toll plazas or complete offline formalities. With the new system, the entire process can now be completed digitally, making it easier for frequent travellers who regularly use the same toll plaza.
MargMitra Help Centre Introduced
NHAI has also launched MargMitra, an in-app digital assistance platform designed to help highway users resolve queries more efficiently.
Through MargMitra, commuters can:
-
Get information related to toll services.
-
Receive assistance for highway-related issues.
-
Access support through a single digital platform.
-
Find guidance without visiting toll offices.
Benefits for Highway Users
The new features are expected to offer several advantages:
-
Completely digital management of local toll passes.
-
Reduced waiting time at toll plazas.
-
Faster access to customer support.
-
Improved convenience for regular commuters.
-
Better overall travel experience on National Highways.
Part of the Digital India Initiative
According to NHAI, these features have been introduced as part of the Government's Digital India initiative to improve ease of travel and enhance digital services for road users.
The authority believes that expanding digital services through the RajmargYatra app will make highway travel smoother while reducing the need for physical paperwork and in-person visits.
How to Use the New Features
Users can access both the Digital Local Pass and MargMitra Help Centre by updating or downloading the RajmargYatra mobile application. Once logged in, eligible commuters can purchase local passes digitally and use the integrated help centre whenever assistance is required.
The latest update is expected to benefit lakhs of motorists who regularly travel on National Highways, making toll management and customer support faster, simpler, and more accessible.
