To ease long queues at toll plazas and make highway travel smoother, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) introduced the FASTag Annual Pass on August 15, 2025. This initiative has brought major relief to private vehicle owners, allowing them to cross toll plazas without paying per-trip charges.
Under this scheme, FASTag users can make up to 200 toll trips in one year or use the pass for one year—whichever limit is reached first—by paying a one-time fee of ₹3,000.
What Happens After 200 Trips Are Completed?
Many users are confused about what to do if they finish 200 toll crossings before the one-year validity ends. NHAI has clarified that in such cases, the FASTag Annual Pass can be reactivated easily.
To reactivate the pass, users need to use the Rajmargyatra App. The process is simple:

Once these steps are completed, the FASTag Annual Pass is reactivated within minutes.
Important Rule About Unused Trips
If a user does not complete all 200 trips within one year, the remaining trips will automatically expire. NHAI has clearly stated that unused trips will not be carried forward to the next year. After the validity period ends, users must purchase a new Annual Pass to continue enjoying the benefits.
