Elon Musk recently shared an exciting video showcasing the Tesla Optimus humanoid robot learning Kung Fu. The video features the robot training with a skilled instructor, where instead of simply mimicking the moves, Optimus responds dynamically and demonstrates precise counter-attacks, highlighting its advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
Tesla Optimus, expected to be launched in 2026, is designed to be a versatile companion, equipped with self-defense skills that could prove beneficial for both domestic and commercial use. The robot is estimated to be priced around $18,999 (approximately ₹16.86 lakh), making it a significant investment in advanced robotics.
The triple 35-second clip received massive attention on social media, with viewers amazed at the robot’s agility and rapid learning process, emphasizing the role of AI in teaching complex skills. Tesla's Vice President of AI Software, Ashok Elluswamy, noted that the integration of AI models from both the robot and Tesla’s self-driving technology will enhance the machine’s capabilities further.
With continuous advancements, Tesla Optimus aims to push the boundaries of humanoid robots, merging physical agility with intelligent learning, potentially revolutionizing the robotics industry in the coming years.
