10-day festive skin plan: When you follow this 10-day routine before Diwali, your skin will not only get a face-off but will also get a glow from within, that too without any filter or glitter.
Everyone wants their skin to look absolutely glowing during the Diwali festival, but makeup and highlighters only give a superficial glow. Because the real glow comes from within. In such a situation, nutritionist Sakshi Lalwani has recently told a nutritional diet routine 10 days before Diwali, which you must try, so that your skin looks absolutely perfect and healthy on the day of the festival. The basic mantra of her advice is 'Your kitchen is your best beauty lab this season', which means that instead of relying on beauty products, it is better to prepare ourselves with food and drinks. Know here the 10-day Diwali pre-plan and some special tips.
Start your morning with a morning glow shot
Consume this power drink every morning, starting 10 days before Diwali. Combine 1 teaspoon of amla juice, 1/2 teaspoon of aloe vera juice, lukewarm water, and a pinch of turmeric. Amla is rich in vitamin C, which promotes collagen production and controls free radicals. Aloe vera soothes the stomach and provides moisturizing support to the skin. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties, which improve skin complexion and give it a more radiant glow. Drink this drink on an empty stomach; it will start your day with both detox and energy.
Mid-Morning Glow Snack
If you prefer something lighter than a filling meal during teatime or snacks, Sakshi Lalwani suggests opting for soaked pumpkin seeds (1 teaspoon), a handful of walnuts, and guava. Guava balances vitamin C and promotes collagen synthesis. Walnuts and pumpkin seeds contain omega-3 fatty acids and zinc, which strengthen skin's immunity and barrier function.
Evening detox drink
In the evening, have a hot detox drink, which Sakshi Lalwani considers a daily essential. Add cumin, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds. Boil these three spices in water and reduce it by half. This drink is especially helpful in liver detoxification. Because when you eat delicious food during festivals, the liver gets tired, and a healthy liver gives glowing skin. This drink can help reduce facial puffiness, pigmentation, and acne.
Choose Gond Katira in special tips
Sakshi Lalwani explains that edible gum katira helps maintain hydration and skin moisture. It's easy to prepare. Soak gond katira in water overnight. In the morning, mix it with rose water, add basil seeds, and squeeze the juice of one lemon. This reduces skin inflammation and gives it a glow.

Skin-Friendly Lunch Tip
The lighter and more nutritious your meals are during the first 10 days of Diwali, the better. Sakshi Lalwani suggests opting for moong dal khichdi, sautéed spinach or fenugreek leaves, and 1 teaspoon of ghee. It promotes skin rejuvenation and is ideal for light digestion. Moong dal is rich in protein and easy to digest, spinach is rich in chlorophyll and antioxidants, and ghee is a source of fat and vitamins A and E.
Plenty of water is essential for hydration
Drinking plenty of water is a crucial part of this 10-day plan. Skin needs moisture, and if you don't consume enough water, this plan will be incomplete. Include 2.5–3 liters of water or hydrating drinks like lemon water and coconut water daily.
