Maruti Suzuki India is set to shake up the electric SUV segment with the launch of its first electric car—the e-Vitara. Production is scheduled to begin on August 26, 2025, with a launch expected soon after. The e-Vitara, first showcased at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025, is positioned to challenge popular models like the Tata Nexon EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curve EV, Mahindra BE 6, and MG Windsor EV.
