With Bihar gearing up for its next round of assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has rolled out a slew of initiatives aimed at attracting youth and entrepreneurs by focusing on job creation and industrial development. Here are the four key announcements made by the CM:

1. Jobs and Employment for 1 Crore Youth

Nitish Kumar announced an ambitious target: providing jobs and employment to 1 crore youth over the next five years. He highlighted that under the earlier Saat Nishchay-2 (Seven Resolves-2) scheme, the Bihar government already met its prior commitment of creating job opportunities for 50 lakh youth.

2. Special Economic Package for Industrialists

To encourage new industries and self-employment, the state will offer special financial support to entrepreneurs. This package includes several incentives designed to foster economic growth and job creation in the private sector.

3. Easier Access to Land for Industries

• The government will arrange land across all districts for those keen on setting up industries.

• Industries that generate more employment will be offered free land as an added incentive.

• Land allotment disputes for setting up units will be resolved swiftly.

4. Enhanced Financial Incentives

• The incentive amounts for capital subsidy, interest subsidy, and GST support for new industries will now be doubled.

• All new facilities and provisions will be available for entrepreneurs setting up industries in the coming six months.
