CM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Why ₹1,000 Installment Hasn’t Reached 66 Lakh Rajasthan Farmers Yet

A large number of farmers in Rajasthan are still waiting for the sixth installment of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, which was expected to be credited in April 2026. Despite an official announcement, the payment of ₹1,000 per beneficiary has not yet reached nearly 66 lakh farmers, raising concerns and questions across the state.
Payment Announcement Made, But Funds Not Released
According to earlier plans, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was scheduled to release the sixth installment on April 22 during an event in Jodhpur. The government had prepared to transfer around ₹665 crore directly into farmers’ bank accounts.
However, although the event reportedly took place, the actual fund transfer did not happen, leaving farmers checking their phones for confirmation messages that never arrived.
Farmers Already Received Central Support
It is important to note that beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi have already received their 22nd installment on March 13, 2026, where ₹2,000 is credited per cycle.
In addition to this central scheme, the Rajasthan government provides ₹3,000 annually under the state scheme, distributed in three installments of ₹1,000 each. The delayed sixth installment falls under this state-level support.
What Caused the Delay?
Officials from the cooperation department have indicated that the decision to postpone the payment was taken by the Chief Minister’s Office, but no official reason has been publicly disclosed so far.
This lack of clarity has led to growing uncertainty among farmers, many of whom depend on these funds for seasonal agricultural expenses.
Previous Installments Also Faced Delays
This is not the first time such a delay has occurred. Farmers had to wait significantly for the fifth installment as well:
- Initially expected: December 2025
- Revised timeline: Late December
- Actual release: January 22, 2026
Given this pattern, many farmers fear that the sixth installment may also take longer than expected.
Reduction in Beneficiary Numbers Raises Questions
Another major concern is the removal of over 9 lakh beneficiaries from the scheme list.
- Earlier (4th installment): Around 74 lakh farmers received benefits
- Latest update: Only about 65 lakh farmers remain eligible
This sharp drop has triggered confusion, with many farmers unsure whether their names have been removed or if there are eligibility issues.
How to Check Your Name in the Beneficiary List
Farmers can verify their status online through the official state portal:
- Visit the Rajasthan Sahakarita Department website
- Go to the “Citizen Corner” section
- Click on “CM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme Status”
- Enter district details and registration number
- View eligibility and payment status
Scheme Overview
Under the combined benefits:
- ₹6,000 annually from the central government (PM-KISAN)
- ₹3,000 annually from the Rajasthan government
- Total support: ₹9,000 per year
There have also been announcements to increase the total benefit to ₹12,000 annually, although no implementation date has been confirmed yet.
What Farmers Should Expect Next
As of now, there is no confirmed date for the release of the sixth installment. Reports suggest that farmers may need to wait longer until the government issues a fresh update.
Final Word
The delay in the CM Kisan Samman Nidhi installment has created uncertainty among lakhs of farmers in Rajasthan. Until an official clarification is issued, beneficiaries are advised to regularly check their status online and stay updated through government notifications to avoid missing any important developments.
