The Government's PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM e-DRIVE) scheme continues to offer incentives for eligible electric vehicles, and the deadline for electric two-wheelers has now been extended until 31 July 2026. The move is aimed at encouraging more people to switch to cleaner modes of transport while supporting India's growing electric mobility ecosystem.

Under the scheme, eligible electric two-wheelers fitted with advanced battery technology can receive demand incentives, making them more affordable for buyers. Both privately owned and commercially registered electric scooters can qualify, provided they meet the scheme's eligibility conditions and are purchased from approved manufacturers.

The scheme also covers commercial electric three-wheelers, including e-rickshaws and e-carts.
