In a completely one-sided contest, Sylhet Titans thrashed Noakhali Express by six wickets in the 13th match of Bangladesh Premier League 2026 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Noakhali Express were bundled out for a shocking 61 runs. In reply, Sylhet chased down the target in just 8.4 overs, losing four wickets along the way.
Nasum Ahmed’s Spell That Broke the Match
Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed delivered a spell for the ages, finishing with sensational figures of 5 wickets for just 7 runs in four overs. His devastating performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
Nasum struck early on a spin-friendly pitch, removing Soumya Sarkar in his first over. He then dismissed Noakhali captain Haider Ali for just five runs. The real damage came in his final over, where Nasum claimed three wickets in four balls, dismissing Mehdi Hasan Rana, Zahir Khan and Bilal Sami to trigger a complete collapse.
Noakhali’s Dramatic Collapse
Noakhali Express folded like a house of cards, losing their last five wickets for only seven runs. From a relatively stable 55 for 5, the innings ended abruptly at 61, with four batters dismissed for ducks in quick succession.
Chase Completed Without Fuss
During the chase, Taufiq Khan played a brisk knock of 32 off 18 balls, while Zakir Hasan added 24 runs to make the result a formality. Despite losing four wickets, Sylhet reached the target comfortably.
For Noakhali Express, left-arm spinner Zaheer Khan picked up three wickets in just 10 balls, but his effort was far from enough to prevent a crushing defeat.
