The incident occurred in Kumaripur Bazaar, Manihari police station area, where the body of a young man was recovered from a room in a house on Sunday (February 8). The deceased has been identified as Vinayak Pandit, a resident of Sujapur, Barari police station area.

The deceased had a love affair with a married woman

Vinayak reportedly had a love affair with a married woman from Kumaripur and had arrived on Saturday night (February 7) posing as a delivery boy. Vinayak's body was recovered in a room in the woman's home that morning.

Police reached the spot

Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and are investigating the matter. Manihari Police Station in-charge Pankaj Anand, who arrived at the scene, stated that an investigation has been launched. Given the seriousness of the incident, an FSL team has been called in.

The police are investigating the case as a case of murder and suicide due to an illicit love affair. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The police say that the exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received.
