Bhilwara: The city of Bhilwara, Rajasthan, was shocked Wednesday evening when a young woman was abducted in broad daylight, right in front of the Superintendent of Police's office and bungalow. Near the Collectorate complex, criminals in a black Scorpio forcibly dragged the woman into the vehicle and sped away. Police officers present at the scene attempted to stop the vehicle, but the accused even attempted to run them over.
The incident occurred while returning from the SP office.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The woman was living in a live-in relationship with her boyfriend and feared a threat to her life from her parents. Concerned, she arrived at the SP's office with an affidavit. As she left after submitting the affidavit, a black Scorpio stopped just 50 meters from the SP's bungalow.
The in-laws are accused of kidnapping
The in-laws allege that the people in the Scorpio were from the woman's parents' family. They claim that the man and woman had married in court, which angered the woman's family. This anger led to the woman being constantly threatened. Sensing danger, the woman came to the Superintendent of Police's office to seek protection.
Attempt to crush policeman
According to eyewitnesses, the men who got out of the Scorpio forcibly pulled the young woman into the vehicle and began driving away. Special Branch (DSB) ASI Pratap Singh, who was present at the scene, tried to stop the vehicle by standing in front of it, but the accused refused. The speeding Scorpio attempted to run over the police officer, causing his mobile phone to fall onto the road and break. Fortunately, he narrowly escaped.
Lawyers and passersby were in a panic.
Two lawyers present at the scene attempted to stop the Scorpio, but the miscreants ignored them and continued driving. While fleeing, the Scorpio even tried to run over a motorcyclist, causing panic and panic in the area.
Immediately after the incident, a blockade was imposed across the district. Within four hours, the black Scorpio was seized. The woman was detained, and some of the accused were also taken into custody. A case has been registered and further action is being taken.
