Arshdeep Singh created history in just 3 years, this feat happened for the first time in Indian cricket

Arshdeep Singh made his debut for Team India in July 2022 and has been consistently performing well ever since. Arshdeep, India's leading wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2022 and T20 World Cup 2024, made history in the Asia Cup 2025

Team India's fast bowler Arshdeep Singh didn't get a chance to play in a single match during the Test series on the England tour. However, as soon as the Indian team returned to the T20 format, he returned to the field and performed brilliantly. Team India's left-arm pacer Arshdeep made history against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025. Arshdeep scored a century in T20 Internationals as soon as he took his first wicket in the Asia Cup match between India and Oman. He became the first Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in this format.

Amazing performance against Oman

Arshdeep achieved this feat against Oman in the Asia Cup, which began on September 9th in the UAE. India and Oman clashed in this Group A match on Friday, September 19th. This was the third match between the two teams. Arshdeep, who made his T20 debut for Team India in 2022, achieved this special feat within three years. This was only the 64th match of his T20 International career, and in just that short span of matches, he reached 100 wickets.

Arshdeep has also achieved the feat of taking four wickets in an innings twice in his career. Following Arshdeep, India's second-highest wicket-taker on this list is leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who has 96 wickets in 80 matches. Hardik Pandya is third, with 96 wickets in 114 matches. With Chahal out of the team, Hardik could become the second Indian bowler to reach 100 wickets.

Debut was made in the year 2022

Arshdeep made his T20I debut for India in July 2022 and has been performing consistently well ever since. This is his second Asia Cup. He also participated in the tournament in 2022. Back then, the tournament was played in the UAE and in the T20 format. Arshdeep then played in the T20 World Cup that same year, taking the highest number of wickets for India, 10, in six matches. Furthermore, he was India's most successful bowler in the T20 World Cup 2024, taking 17 wickets in eight innings.
