According to reports, the victim, Air Force soldier Pratham, was returning home with his father, Jitendra Singh, after attending an engagement ceremony. At that time, a crowd had gathered on the road in New Pukhta Bazaar for a horse-riding procession. The car was unable to move due to the traffic jam. To get through the crowd, soldier Pratham honked his car horn. It is reported that some of the wedding guests became angry and considered it an insult.
It is alleged that some miscreants surrounded the car, dragged the Air Force soldier and his father out, and began beating them in the middle of the market.
