Yamaha Motor India has announced a voluntary recall of more than 3 lakh 125cc hybrid scooters due to a potential safety issue. The recall affects RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid models manufactured between May 2, 2024, and September 3, 2025. The company stated that this step has been taken purely in the interest of customer safety.
Why Has Yamaha Issued the Recall?
According to Yamaha, the recall is linked to a possible defect in the front brake caliper. Under certain conditions, the brake caliper may not function as intended, which could compromise rider safety. Although the issue may not be present in every scooter, Yamaha has included 306,635 units in the recall as a precautionary measure.
All affected scooters will be inspected and repaired free of cost at authorized Yamaha service centers. Customers are advised to book a service appointment in advance for a smooth and quick inspection process.
