Ajay Devgan May Team Up with South Director JP Thumminad for a Horror Comedy After Son of Sardar 2

After the release of his comedy film Son of Sardar 2, Ajay Devgan is now reportedly planning to collaborate with the South Indian film industry. According to media reports, the actor is in talks with Kannada director JP Thumminad for his next Hindi project. The film is expected to be produced by KVN Productions, the banner behind films like Haivan and Yash’s much-anticipated Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups.

Ajay Devgan has earlier adapted several South films for Hindi audiences, but this time he may directly work with a South filmmaker. Reports also suggest that apart from KVN Productions, leading banners like Mythri Movie Makers, known for the Pushpa franchise, and Sun Pictures, which recently delivered the hit Coolie, have also approached the superstar. While discussions with these production houses are still at an early stage, the talks with KVN are said to be almost finalized.

JP Thumminad, who recently directed the Kannada hit Su From So, is being considered to helm this new project. Interestingly, the film is likely to be a horror comedy, a genre Ajay Devgan has not explored much in his career. Sources reveal that if Ajay is impressed with the script, he may begin shooting for the film right after wrapping up Drishyam 3. However, there has been no official confirmation from the actor or the production house so far.
