A mini bus full of passengers drowned in the surging Alaknanda in Uttarakhand, 8 rescued, 10 missing, know every update

A bus fell into the Alaknanda river in Gholtir area of ​​Rudraprayag. According to the information, this incident happened at 8 am. There were 18 people in the bus at the time of the incident. Let us tell you that the bus met with an accident near State Bank turn and fell directly into the Alaknanda river. It is being told that this bus was going to Badrinath. So far two people have died in this incident.

On receiving information about this accident, district police, fire brigade, SDRF and several rescue teams reached the spot and local people also helped in the rescue work. During the rescue operation, about 8 people were rescued and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Vehicle number UK 08 PA 7444 is a 31 seater bus, in which there were a total of 20 people including the driver. The Soni family from Udaipur, Rajasthan and Gujarat had come for Chardham Yatra in this vehicle.

The flow of Alaknanda river was fast due to rain 

Let us tell you that due to the heavy rains in different areas of Kedarnath and Rudraprayag for the last few days, the flow of water in Alaknanda Nandi is also fast.

In such a situation, it is being said that many passengers have been swept away by the strong currents due to the bus falling into it. The administration is currently engaged in rescue operations. So far, there is news of 2 people dying in this accident.

Search operation is being conducted 40 km away from the spot 

SDRF personnel are conducting search operations near the dam in Srinagar, Garhwal, which is 40 km away from the Rudraprayag bus accident site, to search for bus passengers who might have been swept away by the river due to strong currents.
