7-Seater Under ₹6 Lakh: Renault Triber Becomes a Game-Changer, Demand Soars With 50% Sales Growth

Auto companies release their sales numbers every month, and Renault’s October performance stood out with impressive growth. The brand currently sells three cars in India – the Triber, Kwid, and Kiger – and is preparing to relaunch the iconic Duster in January with a fresh design and upgraded features. In October alone, Renault sold 4,672 units, marking a 21 percent year-on-year growth.

On a month-over-month basis, Renault also saw a strong rise, with sales increasing by 10 percent compared to September, when 4,265 units were sold. The biggest contributor to this growth is the Renault Triber, India’s most affordable 7-seater, which continues to be the company’s bestseller.

Renault Triber sales
In October, Renault sold 3,170 units of the Triber, compared to 2,111 units sold during the same month last year – a remarkable 50 percent year-on-year growth.

Among Renault’s other models, the Kiger sold 948 units last month, down from 1,053 units a year ago, showing a 9.97 percent decline in sales. The Kwid also saw lower numbers, with 554 units sold this October versus 706 units last year.

Renault Triber price in India
The Renault Triber remains popular largely due to its price and practicality. It is currently the most affordable 7-seater in the country, with prices starting at ₹5.76 lakh (ex-showroom). The car offers a spacious 625-liter boot (with third row folded), 21 standard safety features across all variants, second and third-row AC vents, and wireless charging.
